Here at Smoke Creek Meats, our family’s passion is to provide healthy, quality grass-fed beef for busy, but conscientious consumers like you, conveniently straight to your door, fresh from our ranch to your table.

If you were like us, visits to the grocery store were beyond disappointing! Searching through the little selection of meat they had, only to have to choose between which one looks less gray, less fatty, or expires latest. And then paying premium price for what amounted to junk meat, with who knows what added in, and who knows where it came from! We decided NO MORE!!

Our family’s story started in just that way. With my wife and young family, we set out to give not only our children the best quality of life, instilling in them good values, but raising the best quality beef we could.

We jumped in feet first, only to be hit with wave after wave of disbelief. Right away we could see the “flaws” in the big business mentality of the cattle industry. No one cared about the animals. No one cared about the consumers. No one cared about the sweat and hard work done by the producers. It was all about volume and money. That was something our family couldn’t stomach.

So, we set out on our own course, experimenting with different feeds, different health methods, and investigating what really happens when you we put your animals in a “feed lot”. We discovered very soon the industry needs to be changed. If we wanted to improve the health of the animals and our health as well, we would have to do it the natural way.

Our family made the sacrifice and moved our home and operation up to Eastern Montana, where our animals had access to natural prairie grassland and pastures, to roam like God intended for them. And the benefits for our family and animals just exploded!

Now with years of experience behind us, we have a breeding program that produces sustainable, clean, quality grassfed beef for not only our family, but you the consumer. Someone who cares about what their family is eating. Someone who cares about what was put into the meat they are serving to their loved ones. 

Our cows are put under as little stress as possible, using natural means like garlic and cinnamon in their mineral to control flies and heat, instead of chemical sprays and tags like commercial beef uses. They eat untreated natural prairie grass at their leisure, instead of corn-based product, filled with medicines and “dope”, just to keep them healthy and fat in such close quarters. 

The results are fantastic! Because of being raised in a low-stress environment, our animals produce some of the cleanest, quality, best looking meat we have ever seen and tasted! And the benefits keep pouring in!

Save time by ordering meat from us to fill your freezer. Most people don’t realize that a quarter of bulk beef only takes up about 4-5 cubit feet. That’s less than your average side-by-side freezer. We sell premium quality beef in ¼, ½, or whole cow sections. Order in whatever quantity works for your busy family.
